Attribute Refunds? - Guild Wars Forums

What is the point of these attribute refunds? I am aware of what they do, I just do not understand the reason they are put in the game. I think you should be able to just chagen your stats whenever you want with no barriers. Will someone please tell me what they were thinking when they put those in the game?

How are you going to learn how to take advantage of a build if you just change it every 5 minutes?

no im talking about like if i were to go to the underworld, i would change all of my marksmanship to expertise so my traps are cheaper. then say we lose right away due to the mistake of a teammate. So im in temple of the ages with 12+ expertise and 12+ wilderness survival, then i get the message that my friend would like help, so i take off the expertise and put it on marksmanship again. I help run him/her to yaks bend, gaining 0xp. So then i decide i need money, but wait, i cant go back to underworld without setting only a few traps each 10 minutes. I hope you understood my ramble.

Ahumm.. maybe for balancing in pvp.. you may fill your skill bar with skills from any attributes, and you keep changing you're attributes to deal the more damage.

Try to imagine an elementalist with 12+ air, who spike at the beginning, then switch to 12+ fire to fire burst / inferno / etc.. and back to air...

That must be the reason I guess.

I found places where I can get my refund points back for every attributes I can use. If I'm in air, I will kill grawl outside port sledge until I have enough refund point to reskill as a smither / protection then get all my points back with griffon in snake dance.

You should try to find places where you can get your refund point easily.
